To playtest and optimize the gaming experience, the exclusive ability of the Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition to switch from Radeon™ Pro Settings to Radeon™ Settings and back with a couple of clicks enables rapid switching between software features for faster iteration during development workflows.
When in “Gaming Mode” the full suite of gaming features of Radeon™ Software are made available, including Radeon™ Chill and Radeon™ WattMan .
Game developers can also use the wealth of no-cost open development tools and software found on GPUOpen.com to optimize their next-generation gaming experiences for the pinnacle of AMD graphics technology.
Be the Pioneer in Visualization
Radeon™ ProRender is AMD’s powerful physically-based rendering engine that lets creative professionals use open industry standards to leverage GPU and CPU performance to produce stunningly photorealistic images. Plug-ins and add-ins are freely available for Autodesk® 3ds Max®, Autodesk® Maya®, Blender™, and SOLIDWORKS®.
The Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition provides the necessary compute performance required to maximize Radeon™ ProRender’s rendering capabilities, including rendering in near real-time to see changes as they are made, and allows creative professionals to produces rapid, accurate, and scalable rendering results from previz to final.
Radeon™ ProRender’s scalable ray tracing engine is built on industry-standard OpenCL™ and allows the simultaneous use of the compute capabilities of multiple Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards to handle the demands of more complex scenes.
2x Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition are up to 91% faster rendering than 1x Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition when using Maya® with the Radeon™ ProRender plug-in chart graphic.

Furthermore, Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition’s revolutionary Memory Engine when combined with Radeon™ ProRender enables the rendering of assets that would normally be restricted by the confines of the limited VRAM of other graphics cards.
Be the Pioneer in Virtual Reality
Professional workflows are being revolutionized by advanced technologies such as real-time game engines and VR, boosting creativity, enhancing collaboration, and accelerating creative decisions. In addition, a new breed of in-VR content creation tools are making 3D content creation more accessible, simplifying the creation of the next-generation of immersive content.

One such workflow is being able to import an asset from a traditional 3D content creation application into a game engine for visualization in VR while still retaining all its properties, including materials and lighting. The Radeon™ ProRender Game Engine Importer, currently in beta, enables this by enabling the easy import of geometry and materials into game engines, where it can then be viewed in VR.
Another is the use of in-VR content creation tools such as Google Tilt Brush, MasterpieceVR, Oculus Medium, Unity® software’s EditorVR tool, and Unreal Engine’s VR Editor that have many advantages over traditional design tools due to the incredibly intuitive nature of virtual reality, enabling true WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) VR content creation workflows.
The Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition provides an ideal VR experience for the above workflows, with its performance being able to optimize the benefits provided by Unreal Engine’s VR-optimized Forward Renderer, the integration of AMD LiquidVR™ technology, and support for Oculus’ Asynchronous Spacewarp (ASW) and SteamVR’s Asynchronous Reprojection technologies.
For 360 video, the combination of Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition and Radeon™ Loom enables filmmakers to stitch 360 video in real-time at up to 8K x 4K. Then when compositing visual effects (VFX) into the stitched 360 footage, the combination of the Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition and tools such as Mettle SkyBox for Affect Effects simplifies and accelerates this complex workflow.
