Radeon™ ProRender is AMD’s powerful physically-based rendering engine that lets creative professionals use open industry standards to leverage GPU and CPU performance to produce stunningly photorealistic images. Blender™ is the ideal match for this free and open source renderer, and the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition provides the necessary compute performance required to maximize the Radeon™ ProRender plug-in for Blender’s rendering capabilities, including rendering in near real-time to see changes as they are made.

Radeon ProRender’s scalable ray tracing engine is built on industry-standard OpenCL™ and allows the simultaneous use of the compute capabilities of multiple Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards to deliver up to 91% faster rendering with two Radeon Vega Frontier Editions3 to handle the demands of more complex scenes.

Furthermore, Radeon Vega Frontier Edition’s revolutionary Memory Engine when combined with Radeon ProRender enables the rendering of assets that would normally be restricted by the confines of the limited VRAM of other graphics cards. Accelerate VR Content Creation Workflows

Professional workflows are being revolutionized by advanced technologies such as real-time game engines and VR, boosting creativity, enhancing collaboration, and accelerating creative decisions. In addition, a new breed of in-VR content creation tools are making 3D content creation more accessible, simplifying the creation of the next-generation of immersive content.

The Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics card, AMD’s fastest Radeon™ VR Ready Creator graphics card today4,5, provides the needed performance across all stages of VR content creation workflows, from the initial design stage to the final VR experience.

One such workflow is being able to import an asset from a traditional 3D content creation application into a game engine for visualization in VR while still retaining all its properties, including materials and lighting. The Radeon™ ProRender Game Engine Importer, currently in beta, enables this by allowing the easy import of geometry and materials from SOLIDWORKS® to Unreal® Engine, where it can be viewed in VR.

Another is the use of in-VR content creation tools such as Google Tilt Brush, MasterpieceVR, Oculus Medium, Unity® software’s EditorVR tool, and Unreal Engine’s VR Editor that have many advantages over traditional design tools due to the incredibly intuitive nature of virtual reality.
