With “Driver Options” 1

The optional “Driver Options” 1 feature lets you swap from Radeon™ Pro Software to the latest Radeon™ Software Crimson ReLive Edition for Radeon™ Pro driver (a special version of our Radeon Software driver optimized for this feature downloadable from within Radeon Pro Settings) on the Radeon™ Pro WX series (desktop only) and Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards.

“Driver Options” allows for seamless switching to Radeon Software for Radeon Pro drivers, enabling the gaming features of Radeon Software on professional hardware 2. To go back to Radeon Pro Software is as simple as a couple of clicks, allowing for rapid switching between professional and gaming software.

VIDEO PROFILES

The Video tab includes profiles settings that provide different visual experiences for video playback. Select the profile that best matches your video content or create a custom profile to meet your needs. The Custom profile allows for personalized video settings such as AMD Steady Video and AMD Fluid Motion Video.

DISPLAY SETTINGS

The Display tab includes settings that let you configure how your display is set up with your graphics card. You can turn on FreeSync if you have a supported monitor, configure Virtual Super Resolution, change the Scaling settings, set the Color Depth, change the Pixel Format, and create Custom Resolutions.

COLOR SETTINGS

Within the Display tab are the Color Settings, where you can change the Color Temperature and adjust Brightness, Hue, Contrast, and Saturation.

APPLICATION SETTINGS

The Applications tab includes Global Settings and custom graphics settings profiles for your installed applications. The settings that can be controlled here include Anti-aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering, Texture Quality, Vertical Refresh options, Tessellation, and FRTC (Frame Rate Target Control). On “Vega”-based Radeon professional graphics cards, the HBCC (High Bandwidth Cache Controller) Memory Segment size can be adjusted here too.

SYSTEM INFO

The system info tab provides you with both a basic overview and detailed information about your system’s Radeon Pro Software and Hardware.

RADEON PRO ADVANCED SETTINGS

The less commonly used advanced settings of your Radeon Pro and AMD FirePro™ hardware can be found by selecting the Advanced tab that will open a new window with additional options. The settings found here include:

  • AMD Radeon Pro and AMD FirePro Settings: Enable or disable Quad Buffer Stereo (AMD HD3D Pro) on supported hardware 4 and enable or disable 10-bit pixel format support for medical imaging use
  • Synchronization: for Framelock/Genlock settings when using an external AMD FirePro™ S400 synchronization module 5
  • Error-Correcting Code (ECC): Enable and disable Error Correcting Code memory 6
  • SDI/DirectGMA: Enable and disable Serial Digital Interface (SDI) support for professional video workflows using AMD’s Direct Graphic Memory Access (DirectGMA) technology
  • EDID Emulation: Manage Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) emulation for display connections

  1. The “Driver Options” feature is an optional installation when setting up Radeon™ Pro Software and is compatible with the Radeon™ Pro WX series (desktop only) and Radeon™ Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards and only supports Windows® 10.
