Physically Accurate

It’s physically accurate, and lightning fast. It has viewport integration, so you can see your changes as you go, now with improved viewport rendering performance. You can also assign local resources to your GPU or CPU simultaneously

Hardware Agnostic

Radeon ProRender for Maya is hardware agnostic. If your computer can run OpenCL™ 1.2 or Apple® Metal® 2, it can run Radeon ProRender

Fully Integrated

Whatever your chosen workflow, Radeon ProRender is fully integrated into Autodesk Maya 2016 SP2 and higher, letting you select which native Maya components to use. Or not

VR Cameras

Radeon ProRender for Maya comes with support for 360 VR cameras, including photospheres, cubemaps, and stereo support. In addition to VR cameras, Radeon ProRender has support for Maya camera presets and depth of field

Environment and Sky

Radeon ProRender has its own environment setup, letting you work in IBL or Sky mode, together with photometric or emissive light setups, and supports lights from HDRI environments, letting you blend a scene in with its surroundings

Material Library

Radeon ProRender comes with its own material library optimized for use with our renderer, providing an easy starting and reference point for your own shaders

Removes noise from an image while preserving detail. It allows you to cut render times while producing less noisy images. Radeon ProRender for Maya supports both final render and interactive rendering denoising

Now for macOS

Supports Windows®, macOS®, and CentOS® Linux®

  • Virtual Reality (VR) camera support for viewing 360 photorealistic raytraced environments created by Radeon ProRender.
  • Reinstated multi-channel EXR output.

(*Available in Windows® and macOS® versions only)

  • *NEW* Updated Uber Shader that enables better physically-based rendering workflows, with more realistic defaults and enhanced subsurface scattering for better skin rendering.*
  • *NEW* Texture color space controls have been added, allowing you to set the color space to either sRGB or linear, making it easier to work with PBR textures.*
  • Shadow Catcher material allows you to collect shadows and reflections from your rendered objects for compositing objects to IBL (Image-Based Lighting) environments or backplate images.
  • Supports X-Rite’s Appearance Exchange Format (AxF™). This is a vendor-neutral scanned material format. AxF™ is a standard way to digitally store and share a material’s appearance across PLM, CAD and rendering applications. Learn more here.
  • Supports conversion of V-Ray Materials to Radeon ProRender materials.
  • Physically correct materials and lighting allow you to make true design decisions with global illumination – including caustics.
  • Intuitive material design, based on layered representation of real-world materials.
  • A library of high-quality materials, with categories for each type of material, concrete, metallic paint etc.
  • Radeon ProRender Material Catalog browser for building easy to use integration.
  • Interactive preview of materials via Maya material Hypershade editor, thumbnails, and preview window.
