This week, AMD is sponsoring the Austin VR Awards Showcase, a showing of the some of the most innovative and creative uses of VR in 2017. Partnering with Capital Factory and VR Bound, we are proud to power this week-long showcase looking back on the triumphs of 2017 and forward to 2018.

The Austin VR Awards Showcase is at Capital Factory in Austin, Texas from 4 pm to 7 pm on February 5th through February 9th, featuring the nominees of the 2017 VR Awards. Each project will be brought to life in Capital Factory’s VR Lab on the Radeon™ Pro WX 7100 graphics card, delivering the performance needed to drive a truly immersive VR experience.

AMD will also be featuring projects from developer partners, showing the amazing talent built on or optimized for Radeon™ graphics.

Join us in celebrating all that 2017 had to offer and the developers that are starting off 2018 by reaching for the stars. We can’t wait to see you there!

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality

This interactive VR game takes fans through the eyes of Clone Morty, doomed to do all of Rick’s literal dirty work. Developed by Owlchemy Labs and published by Adult Swim, you don’t need interdimensional technology to explore the Rick and Morty multiverse.

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality combines intuitive controls with the Rick and Morty universe to create a game worthy of its VR Game of the Year nomination. Experience this fantastic game at the Austin VR Awards Showcase and check out more from Owlchemy Labs!

Home

Walk 250 miles above the Earth’s surface in this stunning VR spacewalk brought to you by REWIND and the BBC. Combining narrative with the latest in VR immersion, Home allows you to explore the International Space Station firsthand.

REWIND brings this once in a lifetime experience to your home, immersing viewers in an out-of-this-world drama that earned its VR Experience of the Year nomination. Experience Home this week with AMD and check out all the incredible work available from REWIND.

Robo Recall

This action-packed VR first-person shooter designed by Epic Games breaks open the potential of the Unreal Engine. Robo Recall follows the story of Agent 34, tasked with recalling defective service robots and finding the cause of the mysterious virus causing them to go rogue.

Sporting a custom scoring system and immersive environments that only escalate the action, it’s no wonder that Robo Recall was nominated for VR Game of the Year. Experience the action as the Recaller all this week at Capital Factory and make sure to check out all the amazing work from Epic Games.

INVASION!

This immersive VR film that started it all for developer Baobab Studios. Avoid the apocalypse and save the world from an alien invasion as one of Earth’s unlikeliest heroes: two fluffy white bunnies.

INVASION! combines slapstick humor with absurdity in the animated adventure that charmed its way to an Interactive VR Media/Film of the Year nomination. Help the heroic Chloe outsmart these bumbling invaders at the Austin VR Awards Showcase.

We are also showing ASTEROIDS!, the interactive sequel to INVASION! starring Mac, Cheez and Peas as they journey into the reaches of deep space. Not only was ASTEROIDS! built on the Radeon Pro WX 7100, but also developed on the Ryzen™ 7 1700x 8-core processor.

Michael Hutchinson, Chief Scientist at Baobab Studios and man of few words, described the Ryzen 7 as an incredibly capable machine. AMD is incredibly proud to support the work of Baobab Studios and we can’t wait to see what they do next!
